  1. What is Gator Commitment Day?
    Gator Commitment Day is a special event for newly admitted students to officially commit to UHD, celebrate their acceptance, and connect with the campus community.

  2. When and where is the event?
    Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD).

  3. Who should attend?
    All newly admitted UHD students (new Gators) are highly encouraged to attend.

  4. Do I need to RSVP?
    Yes, space is limited, so you should RSVP in advance to secure your spot. RSVP

  5. Is there a cost to attend?
    No, the event is free for admitted students.

  6. Will food be provided?
    Yes, free lunch and snacks will be available for attendees.

  7. What activities will be available?
    You can enjoy inflatables, games, a live DJ, caricatures, tie-dye shirts, face painting, a 360 photobooth, and more!

  8. Can I meet other students and organizations?
    Absolutely! You’ll be able to meet future classmates and connect with student organizations.

  9. What should I wear?
    We encourage you to wear comfortable clothes and be ready to participate in activities like tie-dye and games. It’s Houston so dress accordingly!

  10. What’s next after this event?
    Be sure to check your email for your orientation invitation, which is your next step to becoming a UHD Gator.

  11. Can I bring a guest?
    Yes, we want you to celebrate this exciting occasion with your family and friends. Be sure to include your number of guests on your RSVP form.

  12. Where do I park?
    Complimentary parking will be available in the UHD Faculty/Staff parking garage (identified as Entry 1) attached to the One Main Building (201 Girard Street Houston, TX 77002). Once parked, you will follow the signs to third floor, followed by the South Deck.
