Scope of Responsibilities

Ms. Turnquest is founding director of the Title V grant and the Accelerated Transfer Academy Program in which she is responsible for implementing and expanding the grant programming, overseeing and planning the grant budget, building external relationships and managing the Accelerated Transfer Academy staff.

Educational Qualifications

Ms. Turnquest earned a Master of Arts in Urban and Environmental Policy & Planning a Master of Arts in Child Study and Human Development from Tufts University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from The University of Texas at Austin.

Professional Experience

Ms. Turnquest has extensive experience working with underserved student populations across the country prior to joining UHD in 2016 as Assistant Director in the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning as well as the Assistant Director for UHD’s Quality Enhancement Plan. Among her accomplishments in these roles is the founding of the biannual UHD GatorServe, executing the QEP Assessment Plan, and facilitating groups of students on service trips abroad to Quito, Ecuador.​
