Scope of Responsibilities
At UHD, Dr. Wallace supports the development and implementation of recruitment and retention initiatives in an effort to increase college admission and enrollment for African American and Hispanic males. His work includes collaborating with middle schools, high schools and community colleges and establishing partnerships with community agencies, university student resources and academic departments.
Educational Qualifications
Dr. Wallace earned his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, Master of Education in Supervision and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Lamar University. He was a graduate fellow in the inaugural class for the Texas Association of Blacks in Higher Education as well as graduate of the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education Leadership Educators Institute and the American Association of Blacks in Higher Education Leadership and Mentoring Institute.
Professional Experience
Dr. Wallace's experience includes work in campus housing, recreation sports, academic advising, instruction and admissions. His research involves engaging males of color to support positive experiences for those underrepresented.
