
Dear Faculty and Staff,
Summer has been in full swing as we have been working on addressing components of SB 37 and SB 2615 that were passed during the 89th legislative session. Chancellor Khator and President Blanchard previously noted that we must work through the summer to achieve full system and university compliance with state law by September 1, 2025. A task force of faculty, department chairs, deans, and VPs has been at work drafting and reviewing new policies to achieve full compliance in alignment with the UH System. In addition, the original Strategic Planning Committee has updated our mission and vision statements.
Now, we need your input. We are providing you with a SharePoint site as a venue to review the proposed updated and new policies and documents and submit your feedback.

Please note that this SharePoint site will be open from July 10 – July 16. I recognize that the turnaround time is short; however, our goal is to make this process as transparent and engaging as possible while working within our given timeline. We must submit our documents to the UHS by July 25, and your feedback and input are important. There will be additional policies, committees, and documents that will need to be reviewed and revised during the fall semester.
