For the fall semester, UHD students are automatically enrolled in our new program: the Gator Textbook Access Program (GTAP). GTAP provides students with their required course materials before their first day of class for one low flat fee of $305 (plus $25.16 Texas sales tax) for undergraduates and $200 (plus $16.50 Texas sales tax) for graduate students. The low GTAP pricing provides most students with significant savings over the price of purchasing new retail books. Please visit the GTAP webpage and/or our GTAP FAQ page for more information.
The majority of course materials will be delivered in digital format and will be accessible in Canvas, the University’s Learning Management System (LMS). For students registered in one of the few courses that is using physical materials, they may be picked up at Your UHD Campus Store or, upon request, may be mailed for a flat fee of $10. Students will receive an email from Your UHD Campus Store with instructions on accessing their digital materials and with information on picking up physical materials, if applicable.
Students may choose to opt out of the GTAP fee starting August 4, 2025, at which point the GTAP fee will be adjusted on the student fee bill. The opt-out deadline is the Official Day of Record (ODR), which is the last day to add or drop a class or withdraw without receiving a grade. ODR for the fall term is September 3, 2025. Students who choose to opt out of GTAP are responsible for acquiring the required course materials on their own.
Students: To opt out of GTAP, access your UHD student account and click on the “Financials” icon. In the left-hand column, click on “GTAP Opt-Out,” and click on the “opt out” button. You may choose to opt back into GTAP through this same process if you wish, as long as you do so before ODR. Please email gtap@uhd.edu with questions.
