Scope of Responsibilities

At UHD, Ms. Meneley is responsible for directing and managing budget development and maintenance of a $160 million dollar budget, which is maintained at the position level for salaries and wages and at a budget pool level for other expenditures. She oversees the creation of the University's biennial Legislative Appropriation Request (LAR) for the State of Texas. Ms. Meneley is also responsible for the implementation and maintenance of a Purchasing Card program for 170 employees. She manages a staff of eight employees while encouraging a respectful team-environment and maintaining an atmosphere in which employees can develop professionally.

Educational Qualifications

Ms. Meneley earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Houston. Her certifications include: Certified Public Accountant, Texas and Certified Texas Procurement Manager.

Professional Experience

Theresa Meneley has 20 years of direct accounting/management experience at UHD. Her experience includes work as a Staff Accountant and Budget Analyst receiving various promotions to her current role.
