The 40,000 Windows Café of W.I. Dykes Library (fifth floor of the One Main Building) will be the place to be at high noon onRhythm and Books graphic with artist photos Wednesday, April 24. Local artists Grace Harrison and Sho’ Nuff will perform during two separate live tapings as part of UHD’s Rhythm & Books, a series of intimate, daytime concerts featuring Texas-grown talent.

Part of UHD’s ongoing celebration of its 50th anniversary in 2024, Rhythm & Books is predicated on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts. The Rhythm & Books recordings are free, open to the public, and later available on UHD’s YouTube channel.  Standing room is limited so be sure to RSVP.

Rhythm & Books is the brainchild of Spencer Lightsy, UHD Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, whose aim is to transform UHD’s library space into a dynamic stage (and recording studio) for talented musicians from across the state and share that experience with our students.
