You must submit a
financial aid application
to be eligible for grants, work-study, loans, some scholarships, and other opportunities.
Filing the FAFSA
is easy; follow the steps below if you are a U.S. Citizen, U.S. national, or an eligible non-citizen. If you are a Texas resident, but not a U.S. Citizen, U.S. national, or an eligible non-citizen, you can still apply for aid using the

Step 1:Apply for a FSA ID
. This is needed to electronically sign your FAFSA. If you are a dependent student, your parents should also apply for a FSA ID.
After you receive a Student Aid Report (SAR), review all of your answers to make sure they are correct. If you need to make corrections, you can go to the
. A copy of your Student Aid Report will be sent to UHD to determine your financial aid eligibility.
Once your FAFSA is submitted, the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid will follow up with you regarding next steps and missing items through your GatorMail email account.
