Biography

Zehai Zhou is currently an associate professor of enterprise information systems in the Department of FACIS at the University of Houston-Downtown. He received his Ph.D. degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona with a minor in Systems and Industrial Engineering. He was an associate professor in the College of Business and Information Systems at Dakota State University and an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Information Systems at Manhattan College and a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Information and Systems Management at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research interests include enterprise resource planning, database management, and business intelligence. He teaches Management Information, Application Development in Java, Database Management Systems, E-Commerce, Information Systems Project, and other information system courses.

Experience Qualifications

Dr. Zhou serves as an Associate Professor for University of Houston-Downtown since 2006. He received an award for the best collaborated (between Student and Faculty) paper award (the Mentored Research Award), the Spring 2005 Faculty Student Multidiscipline International Conference on Research and Teaching in Deadwood, South Dakota, May 26 - 29, 2005. Dr. Zhou has about 52 hours of professional development credits each session/year for Advancement Placement (AP) reader by College Board/ETS.

Dr. Zhou has extensive research, teaching and consulting experience in supply chain management, operations, logistics, and data driven analytics and optimization. He has published over 30 scientific articles and serves as guest editor and associate editor of several journals.Teaching Experience:•10+ years' experience at MBA and undergraduate level courses including Production and Operations Management, Business Statistics, Data Analysis and Decision Making, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Materials Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Management Information Systems•Delivered trainings for company managers and executives on supply chain related topics.
