Biography

Song Ge is a Registered Nurse, a Community Health Worker, and a Community Health Worker-Instructor in Texas. She received Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honor from Emory University in 2013 and Ph.D. in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University in 2018. Song Ge was a visiting faculty at Towson University Department of Nursing in 2016. Between Fall 2018 and Summer 2024, she served as Assistant Professor and Assistant Director of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program at UHD. Song Ge was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure at UHD in September 2024. Song Ge was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing-Beta Beta Chapter (Houston) in 2021. Song Ge enjoys doing research and community projects involving students and has published 49 peer-reviewed publications involving more than 20 students. Google Scholar showed an h-index of 13 and 700+ citations of her work. Song Ge is an invited editorial board member and reviewer of several peer-reviewed journals. She served as guest associate editor of Frontiers in Neuroscience and launched a special topic titled "Panoramic View of Cognitive Impairment: Interdisciplinary Cognitive Research". Song Ge received the Excellence in Scholarly/Creative Activity Award from UHD in 2023 and the Excellent Reviewer Award from the International Journal of Nursing Sciences in 2018.
