Biography

Prior to joining the University of Houston-Downtown as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Dr. Saad served as an Adjunct and Visiting Professor at UHD since 2020. After obtaining his B.S. and MBA, he joined various consulting firms, such as Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Grant Thornton, for more than 18 years. During this time, Dr. Saad served public and private corporations, as well as startups and private equity clients in a diverse portfolio of industries. His consulting areas of expertise include business process design and implementation, technology deployment and optimization, performance modeling, forecast and reporting, financial modeling and analysis, standard cost rationalization, decision support/ad-hoc analysis and program/ project management. Additionally, Dr. Saad advised clients in the Merger & Acquisition domain, including buy-side and sell-side financial and commercial due diligence, post-deal integration, carve-out/spin-off transactions, and synergy assessment, validation and tracking.
