Biography

Dr. Robbins earned her BBA from Texas Southern University, MBA degree from University of Houston and Doctorate in Instructional Technology from University of Houston. Prior to teaching at UHD, she worked for Prudential Insurance Company, IBM, and she taught at College of the Mainland in Texas City, TX, where she was a Coordinator for Cooperative Education. She has served as a reviewer for the NSF (TUES Type 1 proposals) and NASA (2011 EONS MUREP Small Projects proposals for Transformational Performance in STEM Using Innovative Solutions) grants. She has published several journal articles. She has been an Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Reader. Additionally, she has served as a board member of the Association for Computer Educators in Texas (ACET).

Dr. Robbins has completed graduate coursework in related field. She is a Certified Systems Professional (CSP) and has a certificate in Data Processing. Dr. Robbins has published several articles and extensive scholarly research activities in her field. She served as a Faculty Mentor for the 6th Annual UHD Student Research Conference, April 2007 for CIS 1301—Learners' Community Linked Class Poster Presentations: For Paper "A Public Policy Solution Plan for Reversing Air Pollution Levels in Cairo"; For Paper "Transportation and its Relationship to Air Pollution in Mexico City"; and For Paper "Public Transportation in Asian Megalopolises".
