Dr. Ray Qing Cao is the Petroleum and Land Management (PLM) Endowed Professor and a Full Professor of Supply chain management and he also served as the Jerry Rawls Endowed Professor and a Full Professor in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University before moving to UHD in 2015. Dr. Cao has taught all levels of college classes (e.g., B.A., MBA, EMBA, and Ph.D.) since 1997. He is the recipient of the University Teaching Award at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2007. Dr. Cao has published more than 71 research papers in many top business journals including the Journal of Operations Management, Decision Sciences, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, European Journal of Operational Research, & Decision Support Systems, and he also co-authored two textbooks and several book chapters. Dr. Cao is designated as a UHD Distinguished Faculty in 2021 and he is the recipient of the Excellence in Scholarly/Creative Activity Award at UHD in 2018, the recipient of the Chancellor's Distinguished Research Award at Texas Tech University in 2012, and the recipient of the Trustee's Faculty Research Award at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2005. In addition, Dr. Cao has more than 10 years of industrial work experience in engineering, operations management, and IT & business consulting.
