Dr. Deo has many years of industry experience, including previously serving as a financial director, and consulting for an energy company in Houston.
Deo's work has published in The Journal of Applied Finance, The Engineering Economist, The Journal of Financial Education, Advances in Financial Education, a total 35 leading applied and scholarly journals. It includes 16 single- authored publications, which is the most important barometer of a researcher's actual contributions. The total publication count is much more upon inclusion of book chapters, trade and other types of publications. He serves on the editorial advisory board of Corporate Finance Review and is a referee for several finance journals. Deo has received numerous awards and grants, and a professorship for his research work. He currently teaches Investment and Corporate Finance.
