Dr. Melissa Raymundo

Biography
Dr. Raymundo's research agenda investigates a variety of topics, including (a) unhealthy eating attitudes and behaviors, (b) motivation and goal pursuit, (c) perceived similarity and self-evaluations based on ethnic identity, and (d) parenting perceptions. With 10 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level, Dr. Raymundo has taught over 70 classes and has educated over 2,400 students.

Experience Qualifications
Dr. Raymundo received a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Houston in 2010. Her research agenda investigates a variety of topics, including (a) unhealthy eating attitudes and behaviors, (b) motivation and goal pursuit, (c) perceived similarity and self-evaluations based on ethnic identity, and (d) parenting perceptions. With 10 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level, Dr. Raymundo has taught over 70 classes and has educated over 2,400 students. Her extensive training at a research-based graduate program and maintenance of an active research agenda make her well qualified to teach Social Psychology and Research Methods. Her research of individual difference factors make her well qualified to teach Theories of Personality. In addition, she had taught Social Psychology, Theories of Personality, and Research Methods for several years before coming to UHD. Lastly, Dr. Raymundo is well qualified to teach Human Growth and Development, having taught the course for five years and being currently involved in parenting research.
