Biography

Dr. Shipley's primary research interests involve the utilization of fuzzy logic in multi-criteria decision making, project management, and quality management. Her work has appeared in IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Omega, Journal of the Operational Research Society, Computers & OR, Journal of Engineering and Technology Management, International Transactions on Operational Research, European Journal of Operational Research, and International Journal of Quality and Reliability Management, among numerous other journals.

University of Pittsburgh Ph.D. Operations Research/ IE University of Pittsburgh (MSIE) Master of Science in Industrial Engineering Operations Research Salisbury University BS Mathematics Margaret F. Shipley received her Ph.D. in Operations Research from the University of Pittsburgh School of Engineering. She teaches in the areas of project management, management science, service operations management and international management. Her primary research interests involve the utilization of fuzzy logic in multi-criteria decision making, project management, and quality management. Her work has appeared in IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Omega, Journal of the Operational Research Society, Computers & OR, Journal of Engineering and Technology Management, International Transactions on Operational Research, European Journal of Operational Research, and International Journal of Quality and Reliability Management, among numerous other journals. She has taught at the University of Pittsburgh School of Engineering, Rice University, and in the International Business program at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Bad Mergentheim, Germany.
