Biography

Dr. Xu is an assistant professor at University of Houston-Downtown. She has taught a series of university courses in programming, operating systems, computer graphics, and game development. Her research interests cover game programming, procedural modeling, image processing, and computer arts. She supervises UHD students on a few research projects, with publications in referred journals and presentations in conferences and research forums.

Experience Qualifications

Dr. Xu is an assistant professor at the University of Houston-Downtown. Before she joined UHD, she has been teaching at several universities in Canada and China. The courses include computer fundamentals, programming, and game development. In UHD she teaches operating systems, object-oriented programming, gaming, and related CS courses. Dr. Xu is a researcher in the fields of computer graphics, game programming, and computer generated arts. Her work has been published in high ranked journals and conferences. She is also an editor for a few international science and technology journals.
