Ms. Usnick has 20+ years of teaching experience at the graduate and undergraduate level. She is an active member and frequent presenter at the Southern Academy of Legal Studies in Business. She has over 10 peer reviewed publications in discipline journals. She has presented at several conferences. She has four academic publications. She has legal professional experience in Administrative Law, Joint Ventures, Organization Management and Restructuring, Tax Exempt Bond Financing, General Corporate, including incorporations, dissolutions, by-laws, acquisitions, sales tax, due diligence and risk assessments. Ms. Usnick has been a member of the Texas Bar Association in good standing since 1985. Her previous duties as a practicing attorney included; small business start-up consulting, including planning, choice of business entity, financing strategies, marketing, contract analysis, and patent application review.

Former health care institutional management (including former licensed nursing home administrator - Missouri); former associate representing health care providers in a multi-state health law boutique firm; former small business co-owner with spouse; 10 years as former assistant professor in graduate Health Care Administration program for MHA and MPH degrees; former adjunct professor at Texas Southern University's health administration program in the College of Public Affairs.

Active member and former executive committee of Southern Academy of Legal Studies in Business; Advisory Editor of the Southern Law Journal.
