Police Officer - Harris County Sherifrs Department, Houston Texas July 1985 - Present

Honors and Achievements
• Graduated top 5% of Basic Peace Officers Academy class
• 1987 Certified as Texas Peace Officer by Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer
Standards and Education
• 1988 assigned to Criminal Courts Division as bailiff
• 1989 promoted to Corporal, responsible for security and operations of Criminal and Civil
courts
• 1990 attained rank of Sergeant finishing third out of approximately 175 deputy personnel
• 1990 - 1995 supervised training of approximately 1,200 new-hire personnel
• Reorganized Detention Training Section, which specialized in continuing education for
approximately 2,700 Department personnel
• Participated in development and training of Citizen's Police Academy
• Achieved Master Peace Officer within 10 years
• Responsible for all supervisory operations involving Outlying Jail facilities
• 1999 promoted to rank of Lieutenant
• Responsible for third watch command of approximately 14 supervisors and 130 personnel
• Reassigned to Inmate Affairs, responsible for Disciplinary / Grievance procedures
• 2004 assigned to the 1200 Jail Facility as Operation Lieutenant responsible for allocation
of approximately 4 70 personnel and building operation.
• September 2005, transferred to Disciplinary/ Grievance Section.
