Biography

Heather Seratt earned her M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Memphis, in 2007, with an emphasis on poetry. She also holds a M.A. in English, with concentrations in Literature and Creative Writing, from University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and a B.A. in English from Mississippi State University. Heather Seratt began teaching at UHD in 2009. She is currently a lecturer in the English Department.

Summary of Qualifications:Heather Seratt is a Lecturer in English at UHD. She has a MA in English and an MFA in Creative Writing. Her thesis work focused on writing poetry. Her graduate coursework included research in American, World, and Children's literature and studies in Composition Pedagogy. Her graduate workshops focused on writing and analysis of poetry. She has 13 years' experience in teaching composition and developmental writing. Her coursework qualifies her to teach lower-level composition, writing, reading, and literature.
