Responsible for large field unit of 44 staff providing Specialized Supervision Services
to Juveniles and their families utilizing evidence based and best practices.
Implemented community based programs in collaboration with community agencies
targeting Gang, Mental Health, Reentry, and gender specific services for girls.

Juveniles and their families. Ensure that T JJD compliance regulations are being
followed. Collaborate closely with other agencies both formal and informal for the
provision of services.
May 2002-June 2008 Supervisor, Mental Health Community Services Unit
Responsible for the direct supervision of 10 officers in specialized mental health
programs that provide intense probation supervision and direct mental health
services with an emphasis of connecting juveniles and their families to long term
services in the community. Collaborate closely with M HMRA for the provision of the
mental health services as well as other community based service providers using the
"wrap around" model of case management to include ongoing case staffing, parent
support groups, transition to appropriate HCHPD divisions, school-based behavior
intervention plans and other organized services. Presented state wide training on
successful multi-agency collaborations at T JPC and TPA sponsored conferences.

Departmental liaison between JJAEP school administration, law enforcement
agencies, and other Harris County agencies. Monitored students on probation to
insure compliance. Involved in the implementation of two JJAEP campuses, CEP
Southeast campus, and Brown School Excel Academy. Developed policies and
procedures to ensure ongoing communication between probation and school.
