Biography

Dr. Hughes has 15 years teaching experience and has taught over 13 different courses within the discipline of Political Science. She has also served as a research associate for the Hobby Center of Public Policy (2000-2006), working on two separate grants with a combined value of $1.8 million. She also served as the principal investigator on an evaluation of Learning Signature for Cy Fair Community College.

Experience Qualifications

Dr. Hughes has a Ph.D. in Political Science. Her dissertation, "Reducing the Effects of Low Social Capital in Education…" was study of the role of social capital in higher educational attainment and a look into the success of specific school programs in making up for low levels of social capital among their students. Dr. Hughes has 15 years teaching experience and has taught over 13 different courses within the discipline of Political Science.
