Lead the accounting department of the Parsons Iraq Joint venture project. My job responsibilities include

  • Responsible for the monthly financial reporting to the Board of Directors of the joint venture
  • Responsible of budget forecasting and cash flow management
  • In charge of all the DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) audits as well as internal audits from the partners
  • Supervise Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables personnel
  • Oversee all the accounting activities

General Manager/CFO, Kildrummy, Inc. Houston, TX May 99 - April 04
I started as a part time accounting consultant with Kildrummy to manage their books of accounts. They offered me a full time position as Accounting Manager in Jan 2002. I was promoted as the CFO for the US operation in Jan 2003. Some of my responsibilities include

  • Developed the chart of accounts and the complete accounting system in Quick books and Peachtree
  • Maintain accounts every month by reconciliation and audit checks
  • Provide the Board of Directors with monthly reports that include cash-flow statements and budget forecast

  • Maintain fixed assets listing and Capital Expenditure schedules for all the divisions of the company. Develop depreciation schedules, and reports for asset acquisition, classification, sales, and write-offs
  • Prepare state sales tax returns, property tax schedules and supporting schedules for federal tax filing
  • Perform Treasury functions such as liquidity management, projecting current/future cash needs, electronic transfers, and bank reconciliation
