Dr. Rahmatian is specialized in concrete, FRP design, structural health monitoring, fatigue, and concrete technology. His post-doctoral research at Concordia university is related to SHM of concrete girders under harsh environments by application of sensors. Dr. Rahmatian holds a professional license from Ontario and ACI board of directors of Houston and officer of the chapter. He is the author of several papers and presented at many conferences. Dr. Rahmatian has established a funded research concrete lab specifically for supporting the city of Houston in the mitigation of flood issues, Forensic Engineering, and Structural damage assessment.His current research is in field of forensic engineering and structural damage assessment.
