Your investment in the University of Houston-Downtown is a lifelong connection, not just a relationship that ends after a few years. The University of Houston-Downtown is committed to upholding the value of your degree and providing you excellent alumni services.
All UHD graduates in good standing have access to a host of great benefits and campus services, including:
UHD Alumni ID Card
In order to take advantage of on-campus services and use UHD facilities, you must obtain your UHD Alumni ID Card. To obtain your card, bring a valid photo ID card and UHD transcript to the Jesse H. Jones Student Life Center. An alumni ID card costs $10. The ID card fee is waived if a UHD graduate purchases a Sports & Fitness alumni membership.
Career Development Center
UHD houses two Career Development Centers for students and alumni. Conveniently located in the
One Main Building and in the
College of Business on Shea Street, these centers assist students and alumni with job searches, resumes, interviews, networking, preparing for career fairs and other invaluable tools necessary for landing the right job.
If you are an
employer, you can hire Gators by posting job vacancies and internship opportunities on the Jobs for Gators board or recruiting on campus.
Computing Services
Alumni ID card gives you access to the
academic computing labs on campus and allows you to participate in
free training sessions on programs such as PowerPoint, Access and Photoshop.
Visiting alumni may request a computer account to use UHD's wireless network while on campus. To request an account, please contact the Academic Computing Lab (S800, One Main). Alumni are required to abide by the
Regulations for Using Academic Computing Facilities and Resources at UHD.
GatorMail
As an alumnus, you have continued access to your
GatorMail account. The account becomes dormant after six months of inactivity, but it can be reactivated by sending a request to IT Support Services.
Library Access
UHD Alumni may access the
W.I. Dykes Library and borrow books, videos, music discs and audiobooks. Databases, e-journals, e-books and online media are available in the library, but remote access is limited to current students and faculty.
Sport and Fitness
Alumni can purchase a discount membership to the
Jesse H. Jones Student Life Center at a discounted fee. Members have access to use the gym, participate in fitness classes, attend personal training sessions and participate on sports teams (some exceptions and additional fees may apply). Please visit the
Sports & Fitness Web page for more membership information.
