UHD TAG, thank a gator

University of Houston-Downtown Thank-A-Gator (TAG) Week
November 12–16

UHD donors create lasting legacies through scholarships and endless opportunities to advance our collective vision of making a difference in the lives of students, faculty and staff.

And, we are grateful.

Signs in the shape of a tag will be placed throughout campus at specific locations that identify the many ways gifts from our alumni and friends have shaped our University. To express our thanks, the UHD community is invited to visit a Thank-A-Gator Station and write a note of thanks and/or have their photo taken which will be shared during #GivingTuesday on November 27.

Sandra Lopez-Lugo, UHD Student

"Working with our terrific community partners, this grant allows our students increased opportunities to develop their technical and soft skills for jobs interviews and success as well as graduate and professional programs."

Dr. Akif Uzman, Dean of College of Sciences & Technology

"Our development isn't solely made possible by new buildings, new fields or new programs … it's facilitated by you…our faculty, staff, students and alumni. Your hard work … your determination … your perseverance … and your spirit keep our University growing. I am proud to point to all of you and say … 'There's UHD.'"

Dr. Juan Sánchez Muñoz, UHD President
