  • Veteran and Resource Student Support Services

    We support our military serving personnel in collaboration with Veteran Services and other campus resources in engaging with males of color as they take strides in completing their education.

  • Men of LEGACI Program

    ​The mission of the MEN OF LEGACI program is to create an educational platform for minority male students with an effort to increase the retention and graduation rates of students enrolled at UHD.

  • Student Affairs Engagement and Diversity Collaboration

    ​We encourage students to get involved in student activities and organizations to promote campus pride, team building, professional and leadership development, as well as faculty-student interactions.

  • Supporting Non-Traditional and Transfer Students

    ​We engage with non-traditional students with families and careers as well as partnering with community colleges in an effort to support transfer pathways.

  • Supporting First Time in College Students

    We engage with first time in college and first generation students in helping them through the admissions and enrollment process, connecting them with campus resources and programs.

  • Perfect Access to Downtown

    Our institution is positioned in a prime location with easy access to downtown enterprises to provide students with great opportunities to network with top industries within the city, the state and the country.

  • Campus Visits and Minority Male Recruitment

    We collaborate with Customer Service, Student Ambassadors and the Office of Admissions to schedule campus visits and events for interested students, schools, families, and community partners.

Minority Male Recruitment supports the development and implementation of recruitment and retention initiatives in an effort to increase college admission and enrollment for African American and Hispanic males. This includes collaborations with middle schools, high schools, community colleges, establishing partnerships with community agencies, university student resources and academic departments. This program collaborates with and is housed in the Office of Admissions.
