Performance Evaluation

​The University of Houston-Downtown's annual evaluation process directly assesses employees on their individual, position-specific competencies.

2020 Annual Staff Evaluation Process           
  1. Employees rated on position-specific competencies
  2. 5-point narrative rating scale.
  3. Appraisals automatically move on to the next step if any of the following steps are not completed by the deadline: 1) Employee completes self-appraisal, 2) 2nd level manager approves evaluation and 3) Employee comments & sign-off.
  4. If appraisals are not complete by the final deadline, responsible managers will not be merit-eligible.
