When to Isolate and Stay Home (Regardless of Vaccination Status)
Have Symptoms
- Stay home and get tested.
- If test is NEGATIVE - Exit isolation.
- If test is POSITIVE - Stay home for five days.
- End Isolation after a full five days AND you are fever free for 24 hours (without using fever-reducing medication) and your symptoms have improved.
- CDC recommends that you continue to wear a mask around others for an additional five days.
Tested Positive (Without Symptoms)
- Stay home for five days.
- At the end of five days, if you have no symptoms, you can exit on the 6th day.
- If you develop symptoms after testing positive, your five-day isolation starts over. Day zero .
- End Isolation after a full five days AND you are fever free for 24 hours (without using fever-reducing medication) and your symptoms have improved.
