Financial Expertise Through a Virtual Money Experience

Money makes the world go ‘round! You want to live the good life – fine car, comfortable house, good schools, the latest in medical care, fabulous vacations, and a promising future. To reach those dreams, you will need money and lots of it. Otherwise, your future is not promising. Since most people don’t win the lottery, you must learn to plan, make money, and manage it. Virtual Finance Park (JA Junior Achievement) will prepare you to apply sensible money management strategies to the twists and turns of fortune. This interesting experience leads you to understand money through real world virtual activities. JA Finance Park will introduce you to personal finance and career explorations complemented by a day-long, hands-on experience where you apply your knowledge in a life-like community. You will be randomly assigned family and income scenarios and given the opportunity to visit virtual businesses, use bank services, contribute to charities, purchase housing, transportation, furnishings, food and health care, make investment decisions and work on personal budgets. You will even go to a real bank to learn more. You will not be a millionaire when you finish this class, but you will have the tools to begin your life-experience with money. Take the opportunity now to get started with personal finances.
