Logging In / Access

VPN connection is not required, but some dashboards will require for you to be logged in with your UHD network account.

The latest versions of the following browsers:

  • Microsoft Edge
  • Chrome
  • Safari
  • Firefox

Yes, you can download the Power BI App for Android, iOS, or a Windows device and log in to view your dashboards and reports.

No, to view the dashboard you do not need to download anything.

Please ask that your colleague emails dair@uhd.edu to sign up to attend a demonstration so they can be granted access to the dashboards maintained by DAIR.

This is a known issue that Microsoft will have to resolve. For now, please click the 'refresh' button on the browser to view the dashboard.


Power BI Functions

In general, each dashboard is refreshed once per day. If an update schedule is different, it will be listed within that specific dashboard.

Click on the visual of the map and either use the +/- buttons on the keyboard or the scroll wheel on your mouse to zoom in and out.

Hold down the Ctrl key (Windows) or Command key (Apple) and make your selections.

In the top right-hand corner of many of the individual graphics is an icon called "Focus Mode" Power BI popout icon (bring your mouse to the top right-hand corner to make it appear). Clicking on "Focus Mode" allows you to see the graphic on its own, and slightly larger. To return to the dashboard, click "Back to report".

Yes, you can export the summarized data for selected dashboards. Bring your mouse to the top right-hand corner to make the icons appear, if one appears that looks like three dots (and says "More Options"), click on it and you will have the option to export the summarized data.

Open the Excel file, if data is not visible, click the "Enable Editing" button (in yellow bar) and then click the "Enable Content" button (in yellow bar) and the data table should appear.
