Graduate School and Internship Fair

The 24th Annual University of Houston-Downtown Scholars Academy Graduate School and Internship Fair (GSIF) will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 8 AM to 1:00 PM and is funded by the Natural Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Education, Minority Science and Engineering Improvement Program (P120A190069, P120A22015), Scholars Academy, and UHD.

August 28, 2023 Applications for Presenters become available.
Sept. 25, 2023 Application and electronic abstracts due.
Oct. 4, 2023 Poster electronic files are due (PowerPoint [PPT] file). *Must include PPT file and signed Poster Submission Approval Form or application will be excluded.

Important Links for Graduate/Professional/Industry Exhibitors:

The mission of the GSIF promotes students within the Scholars Academy to prospective graduate schools and internships. GSIF expects to host up to 100 exhibitors representing over 40 different graduate schools and academic/industry internship programs from within the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Additionally, GSIF highlights undergraduate research projects conducted by UHD students in STEM. Invited College of Sciences and Technology students who have participated in summer research will present research posters. Qualifying activities are projects completed as part of internships, independent/directed study at UHD, or any undergraduate research on or off campus.

GSIF is sponsored by UHD's Scholars Academy and is funded by The Brown Foundation, Inc., the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Education as well as the University.
