Professional Development Sequence for Teacher Certification
Participation in the professional development (PD) sequence requires admission to the Teacher Preparation Program in the Department of Urban Education. The PD sequence requires concurrent enrollment in a set of four courses, and in order to be successfully complete each PD semester, students must demonstrate mastery of the content. The PD sequence also includes two semesters of field work, requiring a minimum of 60 hours of classroom field experience, and one semester of full-day student teaching.

Paraprofessional
If you are a paraprofessional in a work assignment that aligns with your certification area, you may apply for permission to complete your two semesters of fieldwork hours (not including student teaching) at the campus where you are employed. Please adhere to the deadlines each semester.
