Freshman Orientation

Congratulations! Welcome to the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD)! Your experience at UHD begins with Freshman Orientation. UHD Freshman Orientation is designed to prepare you for your first semester at UHD.

Orientation consists of two mandatory programs, Gator Ready and Gator Gateway, that will help you begin your transition to UHD and become acclimated to campus. You will first attend Gator Ready. Gator Gateway will take place later this summer. Students must attend both programs. If you do not complete both programs in their entirety, you will not be able to enroll as a full-time student in the fall.
