Teri Gartland

Teri Gartland​​, CFRE, is the Assistant Vice President of Central Programs for Ohio University. Teri leads teams across a wide spectrum of University Advancement, including Annual Giving, Planned Giving, Corporate and Foundation Relations, Regional campus philanthropy and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. In addition, she has served on a campus-wide task force to support Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and spear-headed the launch of the Esports program for curriculum development and student recruitment.

Teri is a seasoned professional who possesses a wealth of experience in resource development and a passion for higher education access and inclusion. She has held leadership positions at some of our nation’s most respected institutions of higher learning, including the University of Southern California, Chapman University, and the University of California, Irvine. Teri also played a leadership role in the success of Mayo Clinic Arizona’s first ever comprehensive campaign.

Teri has built a reputation for engaging internal stakeholders with external constituents who share a passion for what is possible when partnerships are paired with a strategic vision. As part of her formula for transforming organizations through program and fund development, Teri has focused on the importance of growing and mentoring the human talent in an organization. Teri believes that building collaborative teams result in sustainable growth, promotes retention and drives long-term success.
