The UHD faculty and staff are serious about their responsibility to help students succeed. UHD has students from many different circumstances including first-generation college students and students who have been in the workforce for some time. Regardless of their background, students often juggle work, family activities and classes as they pursue degrees. Professors know their students attend UHD because it offers them an affordable, flexible, quality education in an environment that promotes diversity, opportunity and excellence.

If you have not visited the Office of Admissions, please do so, and we encourage you to visit the campus. The university was originally charged with providing educational opportunities to students who historically have been denied access to higher education. The university has grown and now offers degrees in a variety of disciplines as well as a range of student activities to enhance their educational experiences. Through the years, UHD has maintained its commitment to student success and today the university is one of the fastest growing four-year public universities in the state.
