Daniel Cantu is the owner of Sugarland Mixed Martial Arts. As a professional instructor, he enjoys sharing his knowledge and expertise in Gracie Jiu-jitsu and Self-Defense with his students every day. Daniel believes that empowering others to not only feel stronger but to think stronger is what his practice is truly about.

Sophia initially received her fitness training and certification at Bally's Fitness. She has taught at various places including 24-Hour Fitness Center, Downtown YMCA, Chevron Oil & Gas, and more. She was one of the first fitness instructors at UHD when the university first began to offer aerobics more than 20 years ago.

Charlie has over 15 years of experience leading group exercise classes and providing personal training. As the Assistant Dean for the University College at UHD, Dr. Finch has a true passion to help our students succeed. He is also the proud father of 3 boys.

Antoinette is an AFAA Certified Group Exercise Instructor, Certified Body Vibe Instructor, Certified Group Power Instructor, Certified Jillian Michaels BODYSHRED Instructor, and a Certified Pop Pilates Instructor. She has experience teaching a variety of fitness classes including Boot Camp, Step Aerobics, Butts & Guts, Punch & Crunch and Kickboxing. Fitness has become a large part of her life and she has been teaching group exercise classes for over 14 years.

Sandry is a Zumba Instructor licensed to teach more formats than you could imagine. She is experienced in teaching Zumba Step, Zumba Strong, Zumba Gold, and Zumba Kids just to name a few. Sandry believes that you do not need to know how to dance to join the party. Simply follow her lead and move to the beat. Sandry's goal in every class is to provide an atmosphere that allows every student to have a blast.
