Ancheska Parchman has been the head coach of the UHD Gatorettes dance club team since August 2018. She possesses more than sixteen years of experience in the dance field.
Since her sophomore year of high school at Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, TX, dance has been at the forefront of Ancheska's life journey. After high school career, Ancheska “Chess” Parchman became a member of the Lon Morris College Dance Team in Jacksonville, TX. During her time on the team, Ancheska assisted with team choreography for games and performances, served as a team captain, and helped choreograph the competition routine that would then lead her team to their first collegiate competition in American Dance/Drill Team where they walked away with fifth place.
In 2010, Ancheska became a member of the Stephen F. Austin State University Jack Attack Dance Team. The Jack Attack headed to National Dance Alliance (NDA) Collegiate Nationals for their first time ever & made a name for themselves by taking fourth in the nation, and first place in their division against veteran teams with more years of experience. Her SFA Jack Attack career lasted for two years and ended with a bang as the team made history and took the 1st Place National Championship title for Division I Hip Hop during the NDA Collegiate Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida.
After college, Ancheska has spent her time traveling and choreographing for several middle schools and high school cheerleading and dance teams, as well as city youth cheer, collegiate cheer and dance teams, competitive studios teams, and even an NBA D-League Dance Team. She also served as the Assistant Drill Team Director for the Heritage High School High Steppers and the Head Dance Director for the Dailey Middle School Dazzlers. Ancheska currently serves as the Assistant Director Drill Team Director & JV Cheer Coach for Klein Forest High School. Ancheska is honored and excited to begin her journey as the Head Dance Coach for the UHD Gatorettes.
