The UHD Center for Student Diversity, Equity & Inclusion serves the UHD community by leading efforts to support and enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion on our campus and to leverage the rich diversity of our campus community to the benefit of curricular and co-curricular learning opportunities for our students.
The UHD Center for Student Diversity, Equity & Inclusion provides a combination Library/Conference Room that can be reserved for student club meetings, group study sessions, or used on a walk-in basis. The Center Library has a growing collection of books and DVDs on a wide range of diversity, equity, and inclusion topics. Books can be checked out, while DVDs can be screened in the lounge area or in our private screening room.
Whether you need materials for your academic work or for your personal interest and exploration, the Center library offers a high-quality collection of materials, many of which you cannot find in the UHD library or even the UH System libraries.
The Center provides a large lounge area for meetings, presentations, or relaxation with equipment for viewing DVDs and streamed content. Our private screening room has plenty of room for two to three students to take notes while screening a film, and the room is arranged to be easily accessible for students who have disabilities.
The Center offers workshops and programming in support of a variety of diversity and inclusion initiatives, provides resources and expertise for students and faculty interested in addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion in their academic work and offers advising, mentoring, and advocacy to diversity-oriented student organizations, as well as to individual students.
