ASSOCIATE VICE PRESIDENT FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS SEARCH
About the Position
The University of Houston-Downtown is initiating a search for an Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs (AVPAA). The successful candidate will join UHD as an important member of the Provost's Executive Team and will collaborate with key stakeholders to provide principled leadership. The AVPAA will report directly to the Senior Vice President for Academic & Student Affairs and Provost and work in collaboration with a strong team of professionals throughout the University.
The AVPAA will lead the development of a strategic vision and plan for academic innovation that enhances UHD's identity and commitments and aligns with institutional priorities. The AVPAA is responsible for administering and overseeing efforts related to accreditation assessment, cultivation and strengthening of partnerships, retention and graduation efforts, as well as new academic affairs initiatives. The AVPAA provides strategic leadership to the Office of Institutional Assessment and Accreditation, Data Analytics and Institutional Research, and Continuing Education.
