Designed to enhance the strength of UHD's leadership and shape tomorrow's leaders, the President's Leadership Academy provides current and aspiring leaders the opportunity to define their leadership styles, develop their management tools, increase their understanding of higher education administration operations, and expand their knowledge of the University of Houston-Downtown.

The Academy empowers UHD faculty and staff with a leadership foundation guided by the principles of engagement, innovation, inclusiveness, and impact.

Fellows receive facilitated leadership development experiences that emphasize the importance of personal leadership and the value of planning and executing a personal vision, mission, and transformational action plan.
