Salutations

The intent of Salutations is to inform students about common issues related to sexual misconduct. Salutations aims to help students understand their rights and responsibilities under the Sexual Misconduct Policy as well as provide students with useful information associated with sexual misconduct, including how and to whom they can report an incident.

To comply with the legal mandates that require the University of Houston System to provide training on the topic of sexual violence, Salutations must be completed by all new students during their first semester of enrollment. To accomplish this, a hold will be placed on all new student's enrollment until they have successfully completed the Salutations training module.  To complete the Salutations training, follow this link: Salutations Training FAQ.

In addition, the policy of the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) is to ensure equal opportunity in all its educational programs and activities, and all terms and conditions of employment without regard to age, race, color, disability, religion, national origin, veteran's status, genetic information, or sex (including pregnancy), except where such a distinction is required by law. Additionally, UHD prohibits discrimination in all aspects of employment and educational programs on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
