COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS)

In light of recent developments at UHD in the response to COVID-19, the library has as its top priority supporting faculty, staff, and students in online instruction and learning operations.The library is already prepared in this area with electronic resources that are available 24/7 that can be accessed via our website: uhd.edu/library

​Returning and Delivering Items

All items borrowed by students and university staff are now due back August 24, 2020. Items can be returned to a book drop that is located on the 1st floor of the One Main Building, just beyond the police department entrance.

Status of Physical Space

The W.I. Dykes Library is closed until further notice. This includes the library's reading space and study rooms.


Access Library Materials

Most UHD library resources are available anywhere that has an internet connection, your home included. You will be prompt for your network ID and password when accessing them from off campus.

Interlibrary Loan and Intercampus Delivery

Intercampus delivery has been suspended until further notice. Interlibrary Loan will continue to process borrowing and lending requests of electronic items. Physical items can be requested through interlibrary loan once again.

Items from the library's collection and interlibrary loan can now be mailed to faculty members. To use this service, faculty will email LibraryLoan@uhd.edu in order to submit their request. For the moment, this service is just available to faculty.

All automatic due date notices have been turned off, so that our patrons (and our borrowing libraries) will not receive notices about overdue items. If you currently have an ILL item, please disregard the due date and hold the item until the library reopens.
