Job Summary

The Interim Assistant Director, Insurance and Risk Management develops and implements recruiting strategies for the Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) programs. Develops relationships to promote Insurance and Risk Management.

Duties

  • Develops relationships with community colleges to promote the Insurance and Risk Management major to their students. Contacts and follows up with Insurance and Risk Management prospects
  • Oversees and manages the application process of potential Insurance and Risk Management majors
  • Advises new, transfer and continuing students on academic matters
  • Creates official degree plans
  • Attends recruiting and industry events

Marginal Duties

  • Some travel may be required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Direct Reports:

  • Has authority or responsibility for the supervision of student workers only

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of related job experience.
  • Relevant experience in academic advising, recruiting and outreaching potential students.
  • Experience working with Community College advisors and students

License/Certification:

  • None Required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree
  • Fluency in a language spoken by groups of potential new IRM and BU majors (other than English)
