Biography
Dr. Bridges earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her Master of Liberal Arts Degree in English from the University of St. Thomas. She also earned her Master of Education and Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction Degrees from the University of Houston. Dr. Bradford is a certified mediator and holds additional certifications in teaching k-12, special education, and supervision and leadership.

Dr. Bridges is a 20-year veteran educator. She recently has conducted public development and training workshops for Head Start on topics such as "Developmental Milestones for Children with Autism" and "The Autism Curriculum' for Moderately Functioning Students on The Autism Spectrum." She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her Master of Liberal Arts Degree in English from the University of St. Thomas. She also earned her Master of Education and Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction Degrees from the University of Houston. Dr. Bradford is a certified mediator and holds additional certifications in teaching k-12, special education, and supervision and leadership. She has taught students enrolled in kindergarten through twelfth grades, who were enrolled in private and public schools in New York City, Brooklyn, New York, and Houston, TX. She was Principal at Mirabeau B. Lamar High School and J.L. Dodson Elementary School. Dr. Bradford has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston, St. Thomas University, and Houston Community College where she taught education and leadership courses. She is an expert in the area effective teaching practices and has published in Johns Hopkins' Corwin Press on "Teaching and Change" and has conducted professional development training in literacy, teaching methodology, professional standards, parent involvement, community partnerships, cognition, and positive social and emotional development. Dr. Bradford has served on several community organization boards and management districts in order to improve the quality of life for Houston-area residents and businesses. She is affiliated with the Texas Association of Secondary and Elementary School Principals, Association for Curriculum and Supervision Development, National Association of Bilingual Educators, National Council of Teachers of English, and International Reading Association. Her academic achievement has earned her membership in Phi Delta Kappa, Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Alpha Lambda Scholastic Honor Society, and Phi Eta Sigma Scholastic Honor Society.
