My professor says they can't open my assignment document. Why not?
When adding attachments to assignments, discussions, and quizzes, you should make sure that you navigate to the actual file location and avoid shortcuts or links to those files. Your professor will not be able to open shortcuts that you post if the file extension (the suffix, separated from the basefilename by a dot, to the name of a computer file) is
.lnk. Shortcuts or links are similar to hyperlinks or “links” on the Internet.
Links are not the actual files but rather addresses of the actual files. Your Recent or Recent Items folder will contain shortcuts not actual files.
Do not use the Recent Items folder to post attachments for graded items in Blackboard.
