Latest version of Google Chrome is displaying color contrast issues when viewing websites
with text entry boxes. |
Open Google Chrome settings, locate the Adobe Acrobat extension and toggle the switch
off. |
Microsoft Edge Error Opening Files |
Either an HTTP 404 error appears, or the Word online application opens but displays
the message "Sorry, there was a problem and we can't open this document. |
Open Edge settings, locate the settings to open Office files in the Browser and switch
it to Off. |
Turnitin Legacy Assignments |
Instructors may receive an error message (filesys.err.dir.attempt) when attempting to view Turnitin submissions from the Grade Center. |
Replace all legacy assignments with new Turnitin LTI Assignments. |

Blackboard Issue: Global DNS Issue
Description: Some users are having trouble logging into Blackboard sites.
Information: We believe the DNS issue has been resolved. Issue still persists with some of the
clients.
Workaround: Recommend individual users to run the Flush DNS command in their local machines.

Blackboard Issue: File Access Blocked
Description: A recent Blackboard update has caused an issue with accessing files inside of Blackboard
courses, where students and instructors encounter an error message displaying "Blackboard
Learn Saas" when attempting to access files.
Information: A fix has been implemented and we are monitoring the results.
Workaround: This incident has been resolved.
Turnitin QuickMark drag & drop feature causes a blank screen when grading in Feedback Studio.
Description: When grading in Feedback Studio, instructors using QuickMark may experience a blank
white screen when attempting to drag and drop quick marks from the right pane into
the student's submitted document.
Information: Turnitin Support is currently investigating this issue as a matter of urgency and
we will keep users updated when more information becomes available. You can find additional
updates by visiting the Turnitin Known Issues website.
Workaround: Instructors can click in the paper and select the QuickMarks icon from the in-context
marking tool. This will allow you to choose a QuickMark to leave on the paper.
Error message displayed when accessing Discussion board forums in Blackboard Original Courses
Description: A recent Blackboard update has caused an issue with accessing Discussion board forums in Blackboard
Original Courses, where students and instructors encounter an error message displaying
"The specified object was not found" when attempting to access a forum.
Information: Blackboard Support is currently investigating this issue as a matter of urgency and
we will keep users updated when more information becomes available.
Workaround: Users are asked to restart the browser and make an additional attempt to access the
Discussion forum.
Turnitin not generating a similarity report for student resubmissions in Blackboard Original Courses
Description: A recent release has caused an issue with Blackboard Original Courses, where resubmissions
performed by students are not generating a similarity report in Turnitin.
Information: Turnitin Support is currently investigating this issue as a matter of urgency and
we will keep users updated when more information becomes available. You can find additional
updates by visiting the Turnitin Known Issues website.
Workaround: Instructors can delete the original submission and resubmit it on behalf of the student.
This will clear the previous attempt, and create a similarity report based on a new
attempt.
Turnitin grades not syncing with the Grade Center in Blackboard Original Courses
Description: A recent release has caused an issue with Blackboard Original Courses, where assignment grades are not automatically being passed back into the Grade Center. Instead a Needs Grading icon is appearing in place of the actual grade. This icon informs the instructor to grade the paper despite the grade existing in the Turnitin Feedback Studio LTI assignment inbox.

Workaround: Instructors can view any assignment grades within the Turnitin Feedback Studio LTI
assignment inbox and scores can currently be entered manually into the Grade Center.
Google Chrome Displaying Websites with Color Contrast Issues
Issue Reported: When viewing websites, the text entry boxes are black and display white text.
Resolution/Workaround:
Information: We have not seen this occur in other browsers such as Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge which confirms that this is not a Blackboard issue.1. Open Google Chrome Settings (the 3 dots in the top right-hand corner of the browser).
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Extensions.
4. Next, locate the Adobe Acrobat extension and toggle the switch off.
5. Close the current browser and relaunch a new one. This will correct the display issue on-screen.
Errors Opening Office Documents in Microsoft Edge with the "Open Office files in the
Browser" Option Enabled
