Chrome 80 Update and Mediasite Playback Issues
Chrome 80 introduces a change that may prevent playback of Mediasite content that is embedded in other webpages, such as within Blackboard. If you are using Chrome 80 and receiving and error message of "Your playback ticket is not valid for this session", please follow the instructions below to change a Chrome setting. After changing the setting, refresh the webpage and the content should play back normally.
In Chrome's address bar, go to chrome://flags
In the "Search flags" search box, type "samesite"
Set "SameSite by default cookies" to "Disabled"
Set "Cookies without SameSite must be secure" to "Disabled"
Turnitin Incompatibility Issue
A known issue has been identified with Turnitin and the Safari browser. During file submissions in the Turnitin application the file upload will get stuck and fail to upload. In order to successfully upload Turnitin assignments we recommend using an up to date version of Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge.
Outage Notification - Mediasite
Mediasite will be unavailable Friday, January 31, 2020 between 5am and 7am CST. Students will not be able to view videos hosted in Mediasite and Faculty and Staff will not be able to login. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience.
Blackboard (Bb2) Student Login Account Issues
We're experiencing issues with student account passwords that is causing issues with logging into the Blackboard environment (Winter 2019 Term) today Monday 1/6, the IT department is working diligently with the Blackboard support team until a resolution is fully implemented.
