Blackboard Announcements

UHD's Blackboard service is hosted by Blackboard, rather than hosted by on-premise servers.  This licensing is called Software as a Service (SaaS.)  System updates happen automatically, usually weekly.  Updates should not cause the system to become unavailable, or otherwise affect user sessions. The goal is for UHD's Blackboard to be available 365 days per year, 24 hours per day.

Blackboard maintains a page showing the status of their services and scheduled maintenance.  Some of the services listed, such as Collaborate, are not licensed by UHD and so do not apply.
