Theft and Vandalism of Fleet Vehicles

In the event a fleet or leased vehicle is stolen, damaged or destroyed, contact the Risk Management & Compliance Department, and the rental car company if applicable.

    • The Risk Management & Compliance Department will then notify the Police Department who will need the following information:​​​​

      • ​ Vehicle make, model and color

      • Vehicle registration license plate number

      • Vehicle identification number (VIN)

      • Name of driver

      • Name of any witnesses

      • Last known location of vehicle

    • ​​​​​​​​If an agency vehicle is destroyed, Fleet Management will report to the Texas Building and Procurement Commission, the Comptroller's Office and UHD Risk Management.
