eForms is the online tool in PeopleSoft used for creating and updating positions, updating personal and job data and placing newly hired employees in the payroll system. The forms for processing such actions are the ePAR (Personnel Action Request) and ePRF (Position Request Form). eForms also includes the ePOI (Person of Interest) used in creating PeopleSoft records for future employees and persons affiliated with the University. Creating a person record in PeopleSoft allows the future employee to access all necessary training and updates in the directory with a listing for that person. Forms are initiated and approved in the HR Self Service module of PeopleSoft. The Web access to this module provides for efficiency and continuity in the document processing. At all times forms are traceable in the system and managers receive email communication when there are forms that need their approval.
All adjustments, corrections and approval of electronic timesheets are handled by the manager in the Manager Self Service module of PeopleSoft. As with other payroll processes, managers may access the timesheets for their direct reports 24 hours a day from any device with internet access. All approvals related to TRAM must occur at specific times as outlined by the UHS Payroll Office. TRAM processing tools provide guidance in the approval of electronic timesheets and leave requests in accordance with operational requirements of the University of Houston System.
